Wakatobi is an acronym of the names of the main islands that form the archipelago: Wangi-wangi Island, Kaledupa, Tomia, and Binongko. It is also the best diving/snorkeling spot not only in Indonesia, but also best diving spot in the world. Along with Raja Ampat, Wakatobi Islands also have highest marine biodiversity in the world.

How to Get There: There is a ferry from Bau-bau and ferry/flight from Kendari. Both are the closest cities from Wakatobi. There is also scheduled chartered flights from Bali.
